Modding as a practice of constructing a virtual world and fan community: Case study of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim mods

The research focuses on how video game modifications interact with the game canon and the virtual world of the game, as well as the role they play in the construction of the fandom. As a result, conclusions are drawn about the potential value and prospects of modding in the context of strengthening the fan community and democratization of the industry.
