In Hazbin Hotel, an adult animated series, the character Angel Dust goes through a journey of recovery in the context of addiction and trauma. Drawing from the work of Neely Myers on recovery, this case study highlights the role of intimacy and moral agency in Angel's transformation. Myers's framework may be a fruitful tool for examining the recovery narratives that circulate in fan culture and the possibilities for social change.
