Author Biography

Cynthia W. Walker, St. Peter's College

Dr. Cynthia W. Walker is an associate professor in the Department of Communication at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she teaches a variety of courses including journalism, public relations, media literacy, film and broadcast studies and scriptwriting. A working journalist for over 30 years, she currently, she covers professional regional theater in New Jersey. A fan of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. series, Dr. Walker has written a number of U.N.C.L.E.-related articles including entries for The Museum of Broadcast Communication’s Encyclopedia of Television, edited by Horace Newcomb. She also appears in the Man from U.N.C.L.E. DVD set, currently available from Time/Life. Her latest essay, "The Future Just Beyond the Coat Hook: Technology, Politics and the Postmodern Sensibility in the Man From U.N.C.L.E." appears in Channeling the Future: Essays in Science Fiction and Fantasy Television, edited by Lincoln Geraghty and published by Scarecrow Press.
