Transformative Works and Cultures has released general issue No. 49, edited by co-editors Poe Johnson and Mel Stanfill. 

This jam-packed annual issue includes 11 full articles, 8 Symposium essays, and 3 book reviews on a diverse range of subjects (from Harry Potter to Heated Rivalry to wrestling fandom), practices (from fanfiction to fan edits to cosplay), and areas of the world (from post-apartheid South African fandom to Chinese historical fanfiction of the French Revolution to 70s and 80s feminist science fiction fandom.) 

We accept submissions for our general issues on a rolling basis. The general issue is always released on September 15.
