2026 Fans of Color Prize Winner Announced

Transformative Works and Cultures is pleased to announce Meihua Lu as our 2026 Fans of Color Prize award winners for the article "'From Cinderella to i-woman: Web novels, fandom, and feminist politics in China"! Lu's article was published in TWC’s special issue “Chinese Fandoms” on December 15, 2023.  

The Fans of Color Prize had numerous submissions, covering the breadth of TWC’s publications from 2023-2026, while providing an incredible glimpse into the impactful work happening in (and outside of) fan studies.
