TWC Updates Its Editorial Board
Transformative Works and Cultures has updated our editorial board as part of our ongoing work to expand TWC’s scope, including: diversifying our discipline in terms of historically marginalized fans and scholars, making the journal more international in scope, and increasing multimodal approaches. We particularly sought subject experts in areas that previously haven’t been well represented on the board. The key responsibility of board members is to contribute to peer review for manuscripts that align with their areas of expertise and provide generous, constructive feedback to assist authors in strengthening their work. Additionally, a subset of board members assist in evaluating the submissions for the Fans of Color Prize each year. Overall, the editorial team is pleased to have such a strong board to help us maintain the quality scholarship of the journal and advance the knowledge of fan studies and transformative works in traditional and creative ways.
We thank these departing scholars for their years of service: Berit Åström, Rebecca Black, Abigail DeKosnik, Lincoln Geraghty, Aya Esther Hayashi, Ashley Hinck, Lori Kido Lopez, and Tom Phillips. We welcome the following scholars to the TWC Editorial Board: Adriana Amaral (Universidade Paulista), Chelsea Fay Baumgartner (Independent Scholar), Dayna Chatman (University of Oregon), Yessica Garcia Hernandez (UCLA), Damien Hagen (Texas Women’s University), Bridget Kies (Oakland University), Celia Lam (University of Nottingham Ningbo China), and E. Charlotte Stevens (Birmingham City University). Your work and your expertise are what make TWC great.
