TWC No. 38 released
Transformative Works and Cultures has released general issue No. 38, the first edited by new coeditors Poe Johnson and Mel Stanfill.
This issue “continue[s] the important work of expanding and diversifying the field, both in objects and approaches” and “seek[s] to feature work that further complicates the already nuanced transformative/affirmative binary, paying greater attention to how a particular fan, practice, or work might occupy both sides of the binary at once or shift across the spectrum over time.” The editors also expand on their goals for the upcoming year. This issue also includes an special symposium section on "The Year Without Comic-Con."
Coming up next for TWC are two special issues, on Trans Fandom and on Chinese Fandoms respectively, followed by a general issue in September 2023.

Centering Blackness in Fan Studies, March 2024 (January 1, 2023)
