Transformative Works and Cultures

One point that has been made to me about being the subject of academic investigation by fans who have 'been around a while' is that while it's interesting the first few times it happens, to them it's now 'getting old'. In essence, they do not wish to answer any more questions about their fannish participation.

I raise it as it's a point you don't make.
